"The Raggedyman"
Already an award-winning work!
On November 30, 2007, "The Raggedyman" was awarded Runner-Up honors at faithwriters.com in the 2007 Page Turner competition.
Over 50 entries from both published and aspiring fiction writers were evaluated by a panel of judges over the past several months.
The entries: Submit a story synopsis and the first chapter of your novel (complete or in-progress).
The judging criteria: Given the start of the novel submitted, which most makes me want to keep turning the pages.
The results: One winner and two runners-up.
Our own Vile Chylde (submitting under her legal name) will be receiving a Runner-Up plaque!

[from faithwriters.com forum initial announcement of winners]
"Sarah's story is a dark Christian thriller/chiller that grabs the reader from the first line and won't let go. It is completely out of the usual Christian box, and has the potential to reach non-Christian readers. Believe me, if there had been pages to turn at the end of that first chapter, I would have turned them. Excellent dialogue and characters. (And for those who aren't aware, as I wasn't until just two days ago, Sarah is more commonly known as "Vile" here on the boards.)"
[preliminary-editor's review - henchmum, fan-fiction writer & copy-editor]
"Lures the reader into a sense of complacency, then pulls the rug out from under them, leaving them hanging mid-air over the pits of Hell. ... Not for the faint of heart nor weak of stomach ... a wild ride."
